Here it is - our monthly Stampers Dozen Blog Hop! The theme this month is Friends are Forever. (If you missed our Color Challenge Blog Hop last month, you can check it out here.)
For this "You Are Amazing!" card, I used the versatile stamp set Butterfly Basics.
The greeting I used is from the stamp set Cottage Greetings.
What I especially like about this card is the look of depth and texture! To start, I stamped the flower image and greeting with Basic Black ink. I colored the flower and stems using an Aqua Painter (could use Blender Pen) with Calypso Coral and Old Olive ink pads.
My next step was to stamp the fern image with Old Olive ink. Before stamping onto the Whisper White cardstock, though, I stamped off on scrap paper once. Then I stamped three times before re-inking to get the variety of shades. Don't hesitate to stamp directly over the flower image!
My last step before attaching this layer to the card base was to add the honeycomb image using Daffodil Delight ink. This is a smaller image that you stamp repeatedly over the entire piece of white cardstock.
Here's another version of the same card using different colors. Which do you prefer?
