Welcome to our monthly Stampers Dozen blog hop!
Did you miss our Blog Hop last month? Check out our projects here.
Our theme this month is "Happy New Year". To be honest, since we aren't hosting a party this year, I didn't have a need to make or send a New Year's card. If you do, be sure to check out all of the blogs on the hop, because there are some super cute projects!
When I considered our blog hop theme, the first thing that popped into my head was the new Perpetual Birthday Calendar Kit in the upcoming Occasions Catalog!
(This is one of several kits in the new Occasions Catalog. If you are a customer of mine, you should receive your copy in the mail at the end of the month. If you would like to be added to my mailing list, please contact me.)
The Perpetual Birthday Calendar Kit has a coordinating stamp set to decorate the pages of the calendar. I used six different ink pads for the entire kit. There were lots of pieces from the kit left over, after I completed my calendar. You could either add more to yours or save the pieces to use on other projects!
So, what is a perpetual calendar? It's a calendar where the dates are not associated with a day of the week. So, you can use the same calendar year after year. This would be a great project to complete in January to kick off the new year being organized with birthdays, so you don't miss sending out a card. It also makes a great gift idea! Because it's a perpetual calendar, though, it doesn't have to be done in January - love that!
If you are local to me, watch my emails for details about an upcoming class at my Stamp Room to complete the calendar. The class fee will include the kit and you can use my stamp set and ink!
